2016

Writer

State of the Arts Manchester

Dec 2015 - Jun 2016
  • I enjoy writing for The Tab because it is a relaxed attitude to journalistic writing during my time at university. However, I prefer the sophistication and professionalism that comes with writing for the State of the Arts. It has allowed me to explore my interests in music, art and literature, especially in the medium of Spoken Word poetry. This magazine has given me the opportunity to write for a far more elevated platform - giving me the chance to craft my writing around their audience.

2013

Kitchen Staff

Matricardi’s Restaurant

Jan 2013 - May 2013
  • My role was to take customers drink and food orders, process cash payments and assisting my managers and other staff members to keep the running of the restaurant smooth. The position also required me to stay calm in such a pressured environment, and helped improve my verbal communication skills when dealing with customers and staff. I also have experience in working with kitchen staff and maintaining hygiene standards. I believe this shows my ability to tackle any task at hand, with attention to detail and a willingness get my hands dirty.
