About me
I am a 20 year old American Studies student at the University of Sussex. I am a incredibly hard worker, achieving three As in my A Levels which were all essay based.
In 2018-19, I mentored and taught disadvantaged children to read at my local secondary school. Working with these children was incredibly enjoyable and I learnt a lot about communication and how to engage young people (specifically those aged 12-13)
From 2018 to 2020, I was a volunteer at the Staffordshire County Council, working in the Heritage and Archives sector. Whilst I was there I learnt a great deal about how artefacts are stored and how exhibitions are planned and put together.
My ultimate goal is to be involved in writing, as it is where my passion lies.
Projects
- The Night Freedom BurnedThis is an article that I produced for Holocaust Memorial Day. It was published in my university newspaper and I won writer of the edition for it. It was also one of the paper's "top stories". It focuses on Kristallnacht and the potential consequences of what can happen, when people stand by and do nothing. https://thebadgeronline.com/2022/01/the-night-freedom-burned/
