About me

Hi, how are you? My name is Luiza Futuro, destiny or not, I like to believe my last name is the best word to define my work. Let me tell you a little bit more about me: I am taking MA at Goldsmiths, titled: Creative and Critical Analyses of Contemporary Society. With this new academic moment, I would like to achieve a final study and professional opportunities that could develop my skills as thinker and culture and society specialist, I have a lot of experiencing working with to people (most of them research companies, several multinational brands, institutions, study groups, start ups, etc.) This heterogeneous approach working mostly as a planner, both: marketing and (becoming) more a social and Brazilian cultural researcher, My name is Luiza Futuro, which means Future in Portuguese. I came from Brazil. Coincidence or not, in the past eight years, I had been working as a consumer researcher, focus on youth Brazilian generations. With time, I became this trend research, working on research companies and freelancing for advertising agencies, national and foreign companies. During this period, including in my graduation period I had many opportunities, in a formal or informal way to realise that I was interesting in something 'bit more' vertiginous, which are not consumers, but people. People and their relation to society and culture and Besides Brazilian culture, I have been studying Brazilian and Portuguese literature ( from Africa end Portugal), especially from 20th and 21st century. Not just studying but also writing. I have a long time relationship with writing since I was little, but in the recent years I wrote a bestiary (yet, not sure if it is for kids) . At Goldsmiths my main approach is precisely the transdisciplinary approach between cultural studies and arts. I have been studying affect theory, performative research and other post qualitatives methods mainly to aesthetics are my main searches in the Critical and Creative Master.
