  • Upcycling embroidery
    Upcycling embroideryHand embroidery is one of my major curiosities which I am combining with the idea that instead of replacing perfectly fine - yet slightly boring - pieces of clothing they can easily be spruced up. So rather than always buying new clothes, I work with pieces from charity shops (like the grey jumper dress in the pictures) or pre-loved pieces in my wardrobe that just seem a bit dull. As part of my studies I completed a term at Waterford Institute of Technology in Waterford, Ireland and a 6-month internship at Ceska Sporitelna Bank in Prague, Czech Republic. I graduated in September 2006 with the focus of my master thesis being "Fear-inducing adverts and how they affect memory of and sentiment towards other adverts in the same programme section".
