Pink Flamingo Events was established in 2019 by experienced events consultant Mandy Lawn. The first half of Mandy’s career was in fashion, but in 2007 she swapped industries, bringing the highly transferable skills of creativity, organisation, attention to detail, and budget management to her new role at producer/distributor Parthenon.
When Parthenon was acquired by Sky and rebranded as Sky Vision, the business was set on an impressive growth trajectory. Mandy became an integral part of one of the industry’s brightest and most-admired teams, spearheading successful international launches for high-profile titles such as The Last Panthers, Riviera, Fortitude, Britannia and Devils.
During this time, and right up to Sky Vision’s acquisition by NBCU, Mandy organised a wide range of events, including three World Premiere Screenings with talent Q&As in Cannes (MIPTV 2017, Riviera; MIPCOM 2017, Britannia; MIPCOM 2019, Devils), a major beach-side launch party for Britannia, a wine tasting in the South of France to launch The Wine Show, a press visit to the UK underground set for Temple and discreet VIP talent and executive dinners in support of Temple and Frayed at 2019’s LA Screenings.

- Talent management for Halifax launch at Content London Dec 2019Produced by Beyond and sold internationally by Beyond Distribution, Halifax F.P. was one of Australia’s most popular-ever crime series, running on Nine Network from 1994 to 2002. - DEVILS World Premier Screening at MIPCOM in Cannes 2019Working with SKY, NBCU & producers Lux Vide I was tasked with working with the organisers of MIPCOM to bring Patrick Dempsey and Alessandro Borghi along with the director and producers to Cannes for the International World Premier of DEVILS in Cannes. In addition, I worked with the PR teams to organise their press interviews, red carpet appearances and arranged a post screening dinner where International TV buyers could meet the talent and creatives face to face.

I worked closely with the marketing team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, to create, deliver and manage all aspects of Sky Vision’s events at markets and trade shows such as MIPTV and MIPCOM, LA Screenings, Content London, NATPE, DISCOP and Edinburgh. This included working with stand designers to constantly upgrade the company stand at MIPTV and MIPCOM in Cannes, managing world premiere screenings for new series including Riviera and Devils, producing a spectacular launch party for Britannia, taking the press to the sets of Temple and Fortitude, and managing all aspects of talent involvement at key events, looking after stars including Dennis Quaid, Sean Bean, Patrick Dempsey, Mark Strong, Julia Stiles and David Morrissey.
