Marco Kesseler is a British photographer with an interest in portraits and contemporary social stories, working with communities over an extended period of time.
Past works have been recognized by The Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, The Sony World Photography Awards and The Renaissance photography Prize and exhibited at Paris Photo, PhotoIreland Festival and The New York Photo Festival. Clients include The FT Weekend Magazine, The New York Times, TIME and The Guardian Weekend Magazine.
When he’s not out taking pictures, Marco is usually foraging for wild mushrooms, cycling in the rain or eating his way across London.

- Greek Rocket War - TIMEEvery Easter on the Greek island of Chios the two church parishes of a small mountain town come together to celebrate an Easter tradition, which started during the Ottoman occupation. The locals spend the year collecting materials, hand making the illegal rockets and hiding their supplies on mountainsides before the annual festival takes place, where 100,000's of rockets are fired at the opposing church.
