I grew up on a small arctic island in Norway and started pursuing my passion for photography at an early age, which led me in to the art world of London documenting galleries and then later architecture and interior.
Early 2016 this path brought me to a dinner table where I shared my dream of opening an artist residency in the remote island of Norway, a conversation that would lead me to opening up Benk + Bo in January 2018 , a public cafe, open work- and event-space in Spitalfields, London.

- Coat Paints Pop-Up Shop in ShoreditchFor LDF 2021 we worked with carbon positive paint company 'Coat Paints' to help bring to life their first 'IRL' interior space. Located on Rivington St. in Shoreditch, we helped position and design the interior architecture, colour palette, and space planning of this pop-up. We also curated a shoppable interior by bringing on vintage furniture dealers (Early Bird London and Diagonal Furniture) and a home delivery plant company (The Stem). Photography: Mariell Lind Hansen
- Benk&Bo 2021 Re-LaunchWe helped this Spitalfields based Norwegian workspace/cafe/creative hub with an exciting interior re-fresh as they re-opened in spring 2021. We curated a shoppable vintage furniture (Punch the Clock and Barker & Churcher) and contemporary art gallery (M.A.H Gallery), brought on a sustainable interior paint partner (Coat Paints), and a specialist branding agency (Soo Yeah Studio). We also designed a site specific rug that was created by rug maker/designer Loop Atelier.2
- Soho Works re-brandIn 2019, as Creative & Content Director of Soho House, I led the art direction for the rebranding of Soho Works as the co-working business prepared to embark on a global expansion. The brief was to show off the beautiful vast spaces, but to inject a sense of intimacy and life. Below are a selection of images from the White City Soho Works site, photographed by Mariell Lind Hansen, currently being used across all digital and social platforms. This direction will be replicated for future openings
