  • New Masters
New MastersIn this series, starting from my appreciation of the work of the Old Masters, I examined the status of contemporary fashion designers by anachronistically blending them in to the decadent world of classical painting. Playfully questioning the connections that are frequently drawn between art and fashion, I have tried to elevate already iconic characters to a level of antiquated grandeur, immortalised through digital preservation.

  • SILK & GRAIN
SILK & GRAINSILK & GRAIN Logo design and Creative product design for SILK & GRAIN London, England. Project goals To develop an original brand identity, which would help the client stand out from the other bars and restaurants in the City, and reflect the concept of aged cocktails. To layout the cocktail menu in a way in which it is engaging and playful whilst being informative. Creative solution The client requested a cocktail programme which featured barrel ageing, and the Gorgeous Group developed a complex programme which featured not only barrel ageing but a whole host of different methods of ageing and different ways in using the aged spirits/cocktails. To keep the guests engaged we needed to create a menu that was clear and fun to read, whilst communicating effectively all the different processes, steps and how they all tied together. We used a combination of illustrations, handwritten text and fonts, with a centrefold ‘map’, meaning the guests could engage as little or as much as they’d like with the technical side of the cocktails.
