About me

An authentic graphic and media designer and former studio manager with an eye that can bring a modern, smart twist to editorial, brand identity, moving image and photography amongst other things. My approach to design is considered. With 8 years of experience as a designer, I take a keen interest in design-led visual narrative — manipulating shapes to express structure, rhythm and pace. I believe that a great project starts from an obsessive attention to detail and a deep understanding of a client’s needs. Through collaboration with sound artists, I love to explore the interactions between audio and visual media with design.

• BF & CompanyLogotype and visual identity for an Italian finance firm based in Milan. The design started with a custom typeface with the ampersand and uppercase letter C interlacing and holding the words together. The key goal here was to convey a sense of trustworthy elegance and refined modernity.

  Dama ItalyVery proud to share my latest work, a collaboration with data management specialist Dama Italy, involving web and logo redesign. At the heart of Dama Italy’s business is the belief in the importance of the benefits associated with professional data governance. Tasked with reimagining the silhouette of Italy for a recent logo I was commissioned, I decided to build a new icon using the same elemental shapes that were going to be used for call-to-action buttons on the website.
• New Ways of WorkingNew Ways of Working is a development program designed to respond to the unpredictable challenges of the near future. The logotype embodies the change participants are asked to lead - with the classic-looking letters combining to create a dynamic ensemble. The logotype is also creating a visual link to the company’s existing branding and revolves around the highly versatile Helvetica Neue.

  AudiobookThe importance and the possibilities of the audio layer tend to be neglected in visual communication. Using design as a research method, this project explored the relationship between audio and visuals. Here audio narrates a story on its own, challenging the conventional, orthodox, visual-based, storytelling in order to achieve a deeper understanding of what it is to listen. In this audiobook, audio drives the narration through the Cut-out and the Envelopment effects, and the reader is required

  L'ApicultoreLogo design for local, family-run business producing high-quality organic honey. The concept was triggered by the name: a combination of the Italian words beekeeper and lover/expert.

  Who Is She“The meaning of an image is changed according to what one sees immediately beside it or what comes immediately after it.” The music was made to suit the constant change of atmosphere and different characteristics shown throughout the video.
