- Welcomefest 2018A 3 week bespoke welcome festival for new and existing students at Greenwich Students' Union. The new venue opening was delayed due to building works and I was tasked to deliver a 3 week event, with a deadline of 4 weeks, that would cater to all students. Event Management Responsibilities:
- Organise, manage and deliver the Lower Deck entertainments programme.
- Responsible for the booking of and contract administration for all artists, bands, DJs and performers as well as other suppliers of services required for the delivery of the entertainments programme.
- Manage ticketing and ticketing services for all events.
- Responsible for ‘Welcomefest’ - 3 week outdoor bespoke welcome festival for new and existing students due to late venue opening. Events included - Dj competitions, open deck Dj-ing sessions.
- Provide a professional service to all internal customers and work closely with them in designing and delivering their events.
- Work closely with student groups holding events in the Lower Deck to ensure success.
- Seek out and explore new business opportunities to generate additional income and profit for Greenwich Students' Union (GSU).
- Sell advertising space and promotional stalls to a range of local clients and businesses, helping grow our market share.
Social Media Management Responsibilities:
- Run all social media pages and lead in effective use of social media to promote the events programme.
- Assist the Senior Bars and Venue Manager with the effective promotion and advertising of the bars' services, activities and products.
- Promote other forms of media e.g. emails, newsletters, sponsorship etc. to external companies.
Finance Management Responsibilities:
- Involved in the setting up of all budgets for related areas, monitor performance and take appropriate action to rectify variances on a month by month basis.
- Generate purchase orders, track income and liaise with the finance team regarding raising invoices, contacting clients etc.
- Being commercially aware and constantly reviewing the student and external market and making changes to development plans, where necessary.
