About me
I am a Curator, Producer and Creative Consultant focussed on interdisciplinary arts, community building and engaging socio-political discourse. Currently I am the Curator and Artistic Programme Manager at 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning. Originally from San Francisco, CA Mattie had a background in community mental health and youth work prior to moving into the arts. She has been a practising curator for 5 years now working in the internationally with a focus on platforming emerging artists and artists from the African Diaspora.
