About me
I have more than 20 years of experience in Information Technologies. Since more than 12 years I was working for MRM//McCann in Frankfurt. Until 6 years ago I took responsibility as a Grouphead Web Development for a 30 –headed team regarding the realization of brand-platforms and campaign-websites. Innovative and advanced solutions were engineered for these projects and I was even also leading the Frontend Development team for the world’s most complex AEM installation for our client General Motors. At the beginning of 2015 I switched to the IT Strategy team depending on my wide field of experience and create technical concepts as a Senior IT Architect. I advise our clients especially on the dynamic area of the Web Frontends and fulfill an active role on our successful projects.
Projects
  • Commerzbank Online-Banking & Brand-Website
Commerzbank Online-Banking & Brand-WebsiteMy role was Team Lead of the Web Development team for a web platform that combined the previously devided Online-Banking and (marketing) brand website of the German bank Commerzbank. The role involved the Frontend development technical and strategical architectural lead as well as frequent alignments with the client and an external integration partner.
  • "General Motors World Platform" - a worldwide CMS platform hosting all General Motors Brands Websites
"General Motors World Platform" - a worldwide CMS platform hosting all General Motors Brands WebsitesI was responsible for leading the Web Development team regarding "General Motors World Platform (GMWP)", a global Platform based on Adobes Java Enterprise CMS AEM (former Day CQ) and individual application engineering like a Car Configuration, Dealer Locator and CRM. GMWP was the basis for all General Motors' B2C websites worldwide - including the global brand sites for Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Opel and Vauxhall. It's one of the most complex and biggest websites provided on a central CMS, with a total planned amount of up to 500 brand websites for markets all over the world. From the Frontend development point of view, the main challenge was to harmonize both the user experience as well as the technical platform regarding multi-brand and multi-market requirements as well as the underlaying technical platform, and to use the strength and capabilities of each of the Frontend techniques the best way - but still keep the system flexible enough e.g. for frequent rollouts and individual brands needs as well as fulfill requirements regarding Accessibility and Web Performance. The role involved the Frontend development technical and strategical architectural lead as well as frequent alignments with the international colleagues and clients in Germany and abroad.
  • ZURICH Insurance Brand-Websites
