About me
I’m Megan Syme, a vegan ethical and sustainable fashion designer from Scotland. I am graduating with the class of 2020 from Heriot-Watt University; School of Textiles and Design. From hand vegetable dying organic materials, to the use of biodegradable home grown Kombucha leather, to using alternative materials such as Balsa wood. I believe my niche is in my organic hand craft. The new age in the industry is 'slow fashion' and I hope to be apart of that.

I gained a wealth of experience in fashion though a summer internship with independent Scottish clothing brand ‘Isolated Heroes’. As part of my role, I did pattern cutting, sewing, and online promotion of garments. It was amazing to be part of all areas of production. I also helped style collections on shoots and promoted them through creating social media campaigns. This was a great experience to gain insight into industry and how successful online companies are managed and executed.
