Projects
  • Hieroglyphics
HieroglyphicsAs part of my Art A-level, I decided to create a project on Ancient Egyptian and Mayan Hieroglyphics. This was a fascinating exploration of history into these wonderful designs and allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone. As you will see below, the main source of my inspiration came from Savanna Redman's 'Mayan Hieroglyphs'. Pictures from my trip to the Museum of Liverpool to follow!
  • Intricate Art
Intricate ArtIntricate pencil drawings including butterfly wings on a standout watercolour background. Take a closer look for splashes of calligraphy and sewn on gold beads to add texture and depth.
  • Cutlery
CutleryWhilst holidaying in Cyprus, I was inspired by two images of cutlery I saw hanging on the wall of fine dining restaurant; Sage, located in the Ayia Napa district. I was so inspired I decided to base my final year A-level Fine Art project on this topic. Once back home, I began my research and found artists whose work I particularly liked. This included German Artist Klaus Boekhoff whose work I discovered on redbubble.com; as well as English artists Natalie Kinnear and Sandra Moore. In July 2012
