I am a bubbly and energetic creative who loves diving into new projects, thinking outside of the box and the occasional bad pun. My interests in building and developing new worlds and characters has lead me to work with film and games startups. Working with smaller companies allowed me to work through the whole process from storyboard roughs to creating finalized artwork. With smaller companies I developed the skills needed to understand briefs, and adapt as the project developed, this later helped me with much bigger companies such as Ogilvy Healthworld in a fast paced environment. My work has been featured on creativepool multiple times and ranked within top 25 creatves to watch. I want to find a creative company that will help me further develop my passions in visualising, concepting and character development in both digital and traditional media. My time working with Apple has made me a confident communicator and presentor as well as a decent problem solver. I have helped Regent street Apple store promote 'Today at Apple' supporting a community of artists and facilitating sketch walks and art sessions. People inspire me, I am ready to dive into the deep end and develop relationships with other creative minds in a fast paced professional environment. So if you think I'm a fit hit me up I would love to hear from you! Lets make something amazing together.Locked Pro Plan feature
I worked on a small project to help create a viral video for Redbull wings for life campaign. The storyboard was aimed to help a film crew capture a flash mob that would surprise runners in basttersea park. This helped the crew capture key frames such as camera angles and reactionshots needed to put together the final video.
My time at Apple has shown quick progression from sales to technical support due to my approachable personality and fast problem solving. Through a recent career experience with Apple's talent attraction team I have gained skills in events organising, interviewing and improving candidate experience.
All my logos have been built in Illustrator based on loose sketches and then developed into vector format. I like being able to capture a brand or company in one image whilst still conveying the feel of the company and pleasing the client. I always aim to make something that will stand out in a sea of cliché logos. Momotaro music is a music label which had influences from Japanese culture so I took inspiration from the manga and anime cartoons to make a young, fun feel to the brand.
As a film nerd and avid comic reader, being able to storyboard and concept for a independent horror film was a dream. I was asked to storyboard a portion of the script so that it could be used to shoot a teaser trailer and pitch for funding. I was able to use my own skills in sequential art to build a visual narrative and give an easy to read idea of what the director was looking for. Concepting the monster was my favourite part. My only guidelines were that it needed to be humanoid as the budget would not cover a CGI monster. Therefore the monster had to be able to be played by an actor in costume. This project combined my love for traditional sketching and digital art.
I have worked with Ogilvy Health World providing a range of digital and traditional Illustration work. I enjoy the diversity and pace of working with different briefs and have been involved in multiple projects including story-boarding, creating scamps and providing artwork for pitches. I have developed a good communication between myself and the creative team and have been personally thought of for briefs that need to be mocked up quickly and to a professional standard.
