About me

Hi! My name is Mikaela, I am a recent graduate from Middlsex University with a BA in Graphic Design. Currently I am open to any opportunity to learn more about design and creative businesses, as a Junior designer or as an Internship. Or simply for any mentoring and tips you think I could use! My favorite projects to work on are print related, like book designs, editorials and such. But I am getting more and more into motion graphics and would love a chance to explore 3D designs in any future projects. At the moment I live in Stockholm, Sweden (my hometown) but I have previosuly lived in Spain and the UK = I am always up for a new adventure, wherever it is.

  Final Major Project 3rd Year - Publication & WebsiteThe aftermath of recieveing the freedom to create anything I desired, focused on my main two loves; publication design and all things food.

  Album Cover x Suicide Awareness CampaignIdentity for a campaign and cover for an album. My chosen cause was suicide awareness and the importance of talking about mental health. The identity was created based on the cause and the relating song "Everybody Hurts" by R.E.M.

  Photography Book Covers - Dan Brown SeriesFor a photography workshop I had the opportunity to learn how to use digital and analouge cameras, shoot in a studio, develop photographs and edit pictures. Our brief was to choose 3 books and create covers using photography. Dan Brown is a favorite author of mine and so I choose three of his books, creating covers that are understood first after reading the books.
