Originally from Kuala Lumpur and never one to shy away from new experiences, I'm a multidisciplinary designer with a primary discipline of graphic design and print publication. Sine Theta is a print-based magazine created by an international cohort that aims to connect and empower members of the Sino diaspora. My role involves providing graphic design support to the Art Director and other members of Sine Theta staff as needed for the quarterly print issue. The same applies to the magazine’s online presence.
Publication Studio is an experimental and sustainable publication project. The work mainly focuses on an alternative, D.I.Y approach to mainstream publishing. I had the opportunity to experiment with various different styles and processes that go into heterodox publications. I also provide additional support for organising exhibitions and events for Publication Studio London on site.
Through working in a fast-paced environment, I completed and met deadlines for various projects. These included conducting and organising archival research for upcoming research proposals and designing templates and page layouts for Vogue. This aided in refining my research skills to allow informed design solutions and manage expectations of stakeholders.
The 2018 Future Youth Summit sought to empower youths in Commonwealth countries by gaining confidence and leadership skills. My responsibilities in this project included designing the summit’s branding and identity, official documentation, and liaising with internal departments for the production of promotional materials.
Graduated with First Class Honours. The B.A. Design syllabus at Goldsmiths is uniquely interdisciplinary and explores many design disciplines encompassing product, graphic, and interior design, as well as speculative design themes.
Final grade: 37/45 points The IB Diploma world average grade in 2016 was 30 points out of 45, with a passing grade being 28 points. Each subject is graded on a scale of 1 to 7 points.
