Projects
- Rhythm and RegenerationRhythm and Regeneration is about capturing rhythm and using it to enhance our emotional wellbeing. Throughout the pandemic, many have struggled with their mental health. My work aims to bring a sense of calm to people, as well as an uplifting energy. I have explored the rhythms in my own life, both micro: running, moving, breathing; and macro: cycles, seasons and the arrival of spring. Combining these ideas, my textiles reflect words we associate with rhythm, such as pulse, flow, tempo, pause.
- The Big BlueSlow ripples; a feeling of weightlessness; tranquility. Water is soothing; from a luxurious bath after a long week, to the sense of peace a large body of water brings. In the pandemic, mental health is at an all time low, with many in a state of anxiety and fear. In a world that’s full of uncertainty, water holds a calmness, a steady presence. The movement is rhythmic; raindrops, the pull of the tide, the trickle and rush of a bubbling stream. In the motion we find comfort, a meditative quality.

Wall Hanging CommissionMoss and Moor
- Ilkley, United KingdomFreelance
Moss and Moor are a garden and lifestyle centre, based in Yorkshire. They cultivate a holistic experience centred around plants, food, wellness and shopping. I worked with Moss and Moor to design a wall hanging around their logo. A woven tapestry, it brought their iconic ‘M’ logo to life in a textural and tactile way.
Following this, I then worked on a large triptych wall hanging for their restaurant area. This consisted of three 1 metre x 1 metre woven panels, depicting the local landscape and connected by threads.
