About me
Hi I'm Molly, an illustrator from the West Midlands who graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2020. I enjoy creating children's illustrations, typically non-fiction but I also love fiction and the world of imagination. I love the idea that my work could inspire or fuel a child's hobby or interest! I typically work digitally, using my surroundings and the beach as inspiration, I also have a soft spot for animals and plants! instagram- @mollyoc_illustration
Projects
  • Understanding Dogs
Understanding DogsA collection of pages from a children's non-fiction book all about dogs. The aim was to teach children, and adults, about the different needs and preferences each breed has- helping them choose which dog would be best suited for their family. This book is important as it teaches children that dogs aren't just gifts for birthdays and christmas, they need a lot of care and attention!
  • Endangered Animals
Endangered AnimalsA series of illustrated pages for a children's non fiction book idea based around endangered animals, educating them through celebrating the animals in simple, fun facts. With pattern divider pages made up of plants found in that area, to break up each region of the book.
  • Patterns
PatternsCollection of patterns I've created both for fun and to be used in books! Exploring the use of overlapping different elements/illustrations to create a repeat pattern.
