• Inktober 2015Every October, artists all over the world take on the InkTober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. Jake Parker created InkTober in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavour with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year. For this year's challenge I decided to .focus on the characters that make up a comic project I'm developing, drawing them in different styles or by theme in 5 day groups.
• Alice in WonderlandThese illustrations from Alice in Wonderland were done to be submitted to an exhibition in Glasgow for the Make a Wish Foundation which took place on the 20th of April. All three illustrations sold as a set as part of their charity auction.
• UlyssesA competition entry for The Irish Times to complete a book cover for Joyce's Ulysses to celebrate Blooms Day. The competition when published had a three day deadline. My idea was to focus the cover once more on Leopold Bloom so he is shown in silhouette with the first paragraph of text from both the book itself and Homer's Odyssey (which the book was modelled on) surrounding him.
