My main responsibilities were working with the design team to produce artwork and digital design for the website and social media. I have also worked on art direction for micro sites promoting collaborative projects with Boiler Room such as Sound Unbound at Barbican.
Design intern for creative agency Suburbia Media, my role was to assist the design team in all aspects of design, art direction and post production. I worked on creative pitches for clients such as H&M and Thierry Mugler. It was my responsibility to create artwork and documents to pitch to the client and liaise back and forth. I also assisted set designers and photographers for a campaign with Accessorize. After, I worked on the post production, art-working and retouching images to go to print and be used in their window displays and as online. ?
I worked closely with the designers on their publication S.A.D. The project was a self-published book showcasing the work of over 30 artists, all responding to the theme of Seasonal Affective Disorder. My responsibilities were to prepare artwork for print as well as aiding in the production of the publications. C&C also set me the task for creating the promotional video for the publication launch. I directed and edited the video collaboratively with both themselves and photographer Oskar Proctor.
As an intern at Tank magazine, working closely with the design and video editing department on material for their website and their sister publication Because Magazine. I did everything from creating print-ready artwork for the magazine to editing and directing videos for the website. A project I am proud of is when I assisted the design team with art direction for a Mulberry campaign. I worked on the early stages of the project, contributing to the art direction and styling of the shoot. I also worked as a photographer assistant for photoshoots and short films for Tank’s website. I was in charge of their Instagram account and other social media platforms, creating artwork, gifs and editing videos for the account. My time at Tank magazine taught me a lot about advertising, trends and enriched my knowledge of the fashion industry as well as developing my skills as a designer.?
