    Steve Aoki - Boneless (video)The Bear was transported back to 1984 Los Angeles to capture this retro skater video for the Superstar DJ Steve Aoki. Heavily inspired by the cult film “Thrashin” we created two rival gangs that come head to head at Venice Beach Skate Park in an epic old skool skate off. Aoki is the leader of “The Dimmaks” and they take on featured artist Chris Lake and his gang “The Rampants” – It’s all highly tongue in cheek, we know the skating is pretty bad and the stunt doubles are obviously fake, but it ha

    Atlantic ProductionsThe perfect brief for The Bear came from Atlantic Productions earlier this year when they commissioned us to revamp their onscreen and offscreen branding. Atlantic are responsible for some of David Attenborough’s biggest TV shows including classics such as The Rise Of Animals and Flying With Monsters. We were asked to update and grow the branding to reflect the best of their output. You can’t compete with the 21 years of incredible imagery they have generated, so why try… We devised a mark that allows The Atlantic brand to act as a ‘Gateway.’ Enabling us to transport viewers and users to any location. A simple logo mark that is easily recognisable and ownable, giving us a glimpse into Atlantics unique vantage point. The summit. The very peak of Production.

    Encore - Album ArtworkWe created a stylised 'graphic novel' styled world for the Encore boys to exist in. This was the overarching creative that ran through all elements of the campaign. Different parts of the story were told in the visual for the single sleeve and then the themes and ideas continued in the video. The urban world we created was intended to be reminiscent of Blade Runner or Total Recall and the backgrounds we placed the boys in were inspired by song titles from the album. When all the images came together in the album artwork booklet it formed a story made up of chapters much like a graphic novel.
