Hello! I'm Polly Mellor from Mellor and Rose - based here in Lancashire in the North West of England.
As a Hand Lettering Artist and Calligraphy - I work on new projects for clients of all sizes; from weddings and parties for stationery and chalkboards to hand lettered murals at The Florist restaurant in Liverpool.

- Mellor&Rose JournalWhilst studying Graphic Design, I'm working at Mellor&Rose - a design studio based in the North West of England. We specialise in hand lettering and calligraphy - we host regular workshops in Modern Calligraphy, Brush Lettering and Chalk Lettering across various venues in the North West such as CASS Art - alongside teaching I'm also creating content both online and offline; such as blog posts and engaging YouTube videos.
- Hand Lettered Murals at The Florist, LiverpoolDuring the Summer of 2018 and just before the opening of The Florist restaurant in Liverpool, we travelled to Hardman Street to hand letter the walls of the once then Old Blind School. Before arriving, we had a run down of what the guys at New World Trading visualised - upon arrival we had a game plan and schedule to get the work done in time for the soft opening. We are a little design studio based in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire with a strong focus on creating innovative and thoughtful designs. As Graphic Designers, we specialise in handlettering and the tuition of Modern Calligraphy, Brush Lettering and Chalk Lettering.
At our Workshops, we'll cover the basic fundamentals - the building blocks. All our workshops include all the kit you need to get started which is provided in the workshop to use and also to take home to practice with - oh and we can't forget the important refreshments.
We are a family business and consist of Beverley Mellor - who founded Mellor & Rose and our head lettering tutor and designer, Polly Mellor - one of our hand lettering artists who works on our projects and assists with workshops. Finally, Lucy Mellor who manages all our online activity; social media and website along with workshop bookings.
