I worked on a Live brief for Live Nation that was to work in team to design and make seven 8ft sculptures of well known rock legends for their festival Download that would be placed in the VIP area for the festival. We had a deadline of 3 weeks to complete the task which meant we were working to a strict deadline.
I worked managing a team for a week to design and create props for a well known club event in Birmingham, this meant that I had to manage a team, budget, source materials, delegate tasks and oversee all tasks.
I spent a week working as part of the site decoration team creating and re-vamping art for the small festival '2000 Trees'. During this week I got to experience working as an artist in a fast paced environment, I got to help re-vamp old works that the festival had used before and create new works, the skills I gained from this experience were, carving, large scale sculpture design and construction and working along side a large team.
I worked as a stagehand on a production of the popular pantomime Beauty and the Beast. This meant I had a duty to make sure that all of the staging and props were properly constructed before the show began, I had to keep track of actors lines and move props on and off the stage during the performance while working to a tight schedule.
