About me
Hi! I'm Rania. Half Palestinian, half English.  Studying Graphic Design, I learnt it's not all posters and typography but more about conceptual thinking and how we can use design strategically to start conversations that make a difference. As cliché as it sounds, what motivates me is that my work could improve today's society even if it only helps one person. Since graduating I have been lucky enough to work at TEMPLO in Shoreditch, whose work focusses on education and social justice. Here I have gained first hand experience working simultaneously on multiple briefs and insight into working collaboratively with clients, whilst learning how to work as part of a team within industry.   Now working in London, I hope to continue developing my skills and hopefully go on to explore the agencies of the world.

The purpose of the app, ‘GAIA’ is to serve as a tool to track your carbon emissions and monitor your climate footprint. Full project at: www.raniaqaddoura.com/gaia
  • Thumbelina | Anita
Thumbelina | AnitaThumbelina : Anita is a typographic artistic book that follows the coming of age story, about a little thumb-sized girl – Thumbelina written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1846. Within the book I found there are parallels between how Thumbelina must overcome an old toad and then a mouse, who both try to arrange marriages for her, and the reality of young child brides, in this case the wedding of 16 year old Anita from Kagati village, just outside Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. • It Has to be Heinz
It Has to be HeinzHow can Heinz convince people that their favourite foods can only be enjoyed with their favourite ketchup? Through focusing on quirky Heinz and food combinations, (using bananas and ketchup as my inspiration), I was able to create a simple and humorous campaign using typically American foods such as: hot-dogs, pancakes and doughnuts, to emphasise the brand message that whatever food you may like... “It has to be Heinz“. Concept and Art Direction: Rania Qaddoura Photography: Flo Field Fu
  • Cards Against Insanity
Cards Against InsanityA partnership between Movember and Cards Against Humanity. Introducing a card game to de-stigmatise depression and help build empathy within families through important conversations on mental health. After speaking to my mum, I found the main issue when dealing with depression was communication between family and friends. Therefore, I decided to create an adaptation of Cards Against Humanity focusing on male mental health with a humorous twist. Full project at: www.raniaqaddoura.com/cards-again
