Hi! I’m Raphaël, I work as a fashion and editorial photographer in Paris. My work is all about creating unexpected connections and uncovering beauty in the most unassuming corners. While drawn to strong contrasts, formal shapes and primary colours, I intentionally avoid a fixed aesthetic. Spontaneity and playfulness form the core of my practice. My work is an immediate product of collaborations and my current obsessions.

- L'AMOUR BRUTNSFW Last Spring, Parisian label L'AMOUR BRUT contacted me for the first-ever collection shoot. They wanted something real —love with a touch of rawness— I wanted to create something distinctly queer. I chose to reference the work of Alvin Baltrop and Robert Mapplethorpe. So I grabbed a couple of friends, tossed them on a mattress we had found on the street the week before and I used a point and shoot camera to preserve the clandestine spirit.
