Imaginative, open-minded, and a versatile creative who has recently graduated with a degree in Fashion Communication & Promotion from Nottingham Trent University. I am keen to gain more hands-on industry experience.
I’d describe myself as a creative all-rounder who can apply myself to various stages of the process from initial research to delivering outcomes, bringing a balance of artistic and strategic skills. I particularly excel in visual storytelling and creative direction, with an eye for the bigger picture and overall vision. I’m known for my ability to perfectly set the mood whether it be a collage of aesthetic inspiration or a playlist. I am confident with using Adobe software for a range of outcomes including film, photoshoots and integrated marketing campaigns. Consumer behaviour fascinates me, I use it to spark off insights and innovative ideas for new campaigns and ways to engage with the audience.
I have always had a wide variety of interests, but music is my primary focus. My music taste spans an expansive range of genres and decades and I also sing and write songs. Spirituality and wellness is another area that I find intriguing and I’ve always enjoyed getting deep into a philosophical discussion. My vivid imagination means my work often has a playful or dreamlike feel to it but at the same time, I also like to show honest and raw depictions of life. I take a lot of influence from film and cinematography as well as the 60s and 90s to add a retro twist.
Projects
- Hearing In Colour - Hot Chip Campaign - NTU - 2021This was a fast-paced, playful and colourful project, our client was Alexis Taylor from well-renowned band Hot Chip. As a passionate music listener and musician myself this was an exciting opportunity to get to know more about the industry. We were given the task of coming up with innovative ways to connect Hot Chip to their fans through a 'phygital' fusion (combining physical and digital elements). The open brief sparked our curiosity and allowed us to carry out trend research across a variety
- Auras - Brand / Campaign - NTU - 2021From my previous dissertation research and idea generation (see healing hedonism), my final proposal for my brand was ‘a sober self-discovery journey, exploring a spectrum of moods through music, to promote healing hedonism'. I experimented with a variety of aesthetic options testing them with the consumer and trying to go beyond cliché imagery. I chose to visualise my idea through a playful and dreamy concept taking inspiration from films like Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom and photographer
- Healing Hedonism - Insight Report - NTU - 2020 / 2021When choosing my dissertation topic, I knew that it needed to be something to do with music as it is such a big area of my life. But as I was completing my final year of university in the height of the pandemic, I felt like I couldn’t ignore the realities of what was going on in the world. So, to keep my project timely I decided to pose the question ‘How will UK club culture recover and be reborn in a post pandemic world to reconnect us again?’. I researched expansively observing club culture
- West Carolina - Digital Marketing Assistant - 2020This role brought lots of fun to my summer break from university. West Carolina is a bold, youthful and empowering brand that gave me lots of freedom to experiment and try different things. Working remotely allowed me to work with an international team and get to know software such as Slack and Trello. I brought my imaginative ideas and awareness of aesthetics and culture to this role, ensuring there was consistency across all social media channels. I had responsibilities in a wide variety of a
- Old School Trip - Size? Campaign - NTU - 2020Size was one of my favourite clients I have worked with. The project allowed me to tailor my campaign to a niche male streetwear consumer. I researched heavily into this area of the fashion market, the ‘Highsnobiety Guide to Street Fashion and Culture’ definitely came in handy. I explored the link between music subcultures and streetwear as a form of identity and took a lot of inspiration from brands such as Palace. I carried out surveys and interviews to understand my consumer’s needs giving
- Dance Wiv Me - Nowness Film - NTU - 2020This was an action packed short film in a week project in collaboration with Nowness. We were given the colour brown as a starting point. To generate ideas, we brainstormed through word association and pulled out 3 potential concepts. We chose the final theme of heritage and created a romantic comedy playing with the stereotypes of British culture. It was nice to create something with a more light-hearted narrative for a change to my usual work. With the tight deadline and fast pace of this proj
