About me
I am a Social documentary photographer, visual and social activist whose work seeks to explore social issues surrounding people of colour in today's world, often focusing on women. Whilst at The Manchester School of Art I also founded A Seat at The Table, a focus group created to provide a safe space for POC students at the University, seeking to challenge issues surrounding underrepresentation and institutional racism in regards to the arts.
I seek to find new ways to create platforms for BAME artists whilst working to challenge the powers that restrict them both through my work and social action.
Another main passion of mine lays in working to make the creative industry more diverse and inclusive, specifically by ensuring the arts is more available to young people from minority ethnic backgrounds. I am also currently looking for work, training opportunities and experiences within the Diversity and Inclusion sector and creative agencies who work with BAME artists.

- ART FOR ARTS SAKENew limited edition prints that represent our mission. In all our issues we encourage artists to take this statement and stamp it (metaphorically) onto their work. We want to celebrate the many motivations for art by people of colour. Art, for us, comes from a place of want as much as a place of need. And for every artist, the root and reason for work differs. People make art for their sake, others art for our sake, plenty art for fuck's sake. But this statement is to remind all artists that, if
- A Nostalgic FutureThe project ‘A Nostalgic Future’ has largely been inspired by a recent trip to Tokyo. The project features my own primary photographs alongside other influential sources such as vintage lingerie and nightwear, Japanese pop culture including ‘90s street wear and anime, as well as themes addressing the innocence of childhood clashed with the brutal reality of adulthood for women.
