Rochelle White is an artist who works primarily within photographic mediums. White’s work investigates the fabric of cultural and racial identity resulting in a union of bold contemporary and traditional references, often loaded with symbolism that is rooted in and informed by her own lived experience. White’s work studies the nuances of the black experience in Britain, whilst questioning ideas of spirituality and consumption. White currently contributes to various collaborative projects and workshops.
In September 2017, White co-founded Eating At the Same Table (EAST) an artists support network and program for emerging artists of colour which aims to support and facilitate creatives as they navigate their careers, developing arts programs which offer alternative modes of arts education through studio visits, workshops and talks and events.
