- Shifting Dimensions: National Poetry DayUCL, British Museum, Francis Crick Institute and Matter of Stuff join together with Poet in the City for National Poetry Day to create poetry portals into how their worlds have changed over the years. Talk to scientists about how our DNA changes over time at the Francis Crick Institute, learn about the uncomfortable truth behind UCL's buildings, and hear from poet and activist Bonnie Greer at the British Museum about instigating longlasting change in institiutions.
- Business Competitions with UCLBeing asked the question “How can the spectator experience be improved at the Rio Olympic Games through technology?”, we thought about creating an app called Road2Rio that has as its’ core functionality a mapping service – similar to Google Maps, but applied on the Olympic Park, so that the spectator knows how much it will take to go from A to B, how busy the road is and this way the spectator never loses part of the experience that has already been paid for - because of queueing or traffic.
