About me

My name is Sandrine and I am primarily a photo retoucher working mainly (but not exclusively) in the world of luxury products post-production. I also have a long history of collaborating with photographers for their personal projects or commissions, including documentary photography and editorial. Beside all that, I am also a graphic designer and illustrator. • Boys in Polish, grading projectA project I worked on with Emily Scarlett for Boys in Polish, a platform that celebrates diversity and beauty in nail art. I had the task of grading this amazing series of photos that showcase vibrant and cozy hues, in a delicate way. Here is a selection of a few of the images I worked on.   Logo design - Opening LinesI had the pleasure to design the logotype/mark for opening lines, a new PR and communication agency based in Edinburg, Scotland. An identity have been previously designed but they felt the logo lacked legibility so I have been tasked to create a new one, incorporating it with the existing brand. I also designed their business cards, and created new assets for their website.

  Sunshine everyday - a tributeI decided to create a poster making use of a limited colour palette (2 colours + background ie: the paper), deciding upon a minimalist composition but with a fair amount of detail (highlights and shadows, gradients, textures), and making full use of the blending modes and overlays in order to create new tones from those 2 colours.

  Shokudo - japanese restaurantDigital illustration of a Yakisoba restaurant drawn in Adobe illustrator. This is the traditional view: A welcome lantern, a lucky cat, a hand painted banner, the fake dishes on display in the glass cabinet. A cosy atmosphere, somewhere you can slurp noodles and drink a beer on a late evening. No-nonsense hearty food is served here!

  Backdrophome.com - Compositing wallpaper onto roomsThis is an ongoing project for the US home decor company BACKDROP who just launched a range of upmarket wallcoverings. They asked me to show those patterns onto room photography they commissioned. Skills: Photoshop
