About me
I am a Glasgow-based poet and drag artist. I studied International Marketing at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2014-2018. My work revolves around using drag to tell stories and expanding the definition of the art form.
Projects
  • Bo & Birdy at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel
Bo & Birdy at Kimpton Blythswood Square HotelI was invited to attend the launch party of the brand new Bo & Birdy Restaurant in the heart of Glasgow's Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel. The look for this event was originally inspired by peacocks and flamingos. The decor of the new restaurant is reminiscent of peacocks and the hotel boasts a campiness to it which is largely reflected in flamingos. The gown was hand-sewn over four consecutive days following a three-day design process. The wig was then sculpted over one day with the design
  • What A World!
What A World! My fourth poetry collection and third in a trilogy of poetry zines. What A World! Is a vibrant look into the queer imagination, based largely in a fantasy world and significantly more positive in tone than its predecessors. The zine humorously critiques the world we live in while imagining new concepts of utopia.
  • PLASTICINE
PLASTICINEMy third poetry collection and the second in a trilogy of poetry zines. PLASTICINE is a dark follow-up to Sunflowers & Ghosts and tackles the themes of fear, depression, alcoholism, self-harm and suicide. Utilising drag imagery and adopting a signature distorted house style, PLASTICINE takes the reader through the inner workings of a terrified mind. With additional contributions from Glasgow-based poets and artists.

I was chosen by senior management to be the Pride Champion of Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel during pride month in 2021. In this role, I was responsible for gathering information on LGBTQ+ history in Glasgow to be posted on the hotel's social media accounts. I worked closely with the social media team to ensure that the content accurately reflected the rich LGBTQ+ history of Glasgow, as well as celebrating LGBTQ+ figures who come from Glasgow. In addition to this, I hosted 2 social events in the hotel to raise money for LGBTQ+ charities in Glasgow, and I developed a special pride-themed cocktail named after the late Glasgow-born artist SOPHIE.
