My role was to assist a handful of designers as they prepared to showcase their work for the looming show for fashion week; from arranging models, fittings, prepping the looks and any fit adjustments. It was very important to pay attention to detail, ensure everything ran according to schedule, prioritise multiple requests and anticipate any needs that the designer may have.
I worked in a small team to assist during the fast paced, busy buying calendar period. I assisted with sales appointments with buyers, prepare all samples and log all desired pieces for the buyers on the account lists. I had to provide a welcoming environment and to ensure that the studio was immaculate. I also had the opportunity to assist with social media content for the agency.
Working at Lush was about aligning your life ethos with your work life, which for me blended harmoniously. Offering exceptional, personal and tailor made customer experiences centred around the Lush products. Understanding and celebrating the values and ethics of Lush. I had the delight of working in different aspects of the brand for the companies success, one being a photoshoot for the Lush knot wraps. I was also able to work on the visual merchandising team, my role was focused on ensuring that the visual aesthetic of the shop is always immaculate.
The forefront of my role was being professional, warm and welcoming to a mixture of clients, including high profile fashion cliental. I always ensured that standards in personal shopping department are always at their best and replenishing refreshments for clients was my responsibility. I also had to diary manage, log fashion week looks, organise appointments, as well as doing other admin tasks. I always had to work with pace, enthusiasm, whilst anticipating the clients’ needs in order to go the extra mile.
Having worked on and off at multiple branches and locations with Schuh, I truly sharpened my customer services skills and tenacious work ethic within this role. Ensuring speedy and efficient service and anticipating customer needs by offering alternatives was always a paramount part of the role. However, the focal point of the role was giving the genuine customer experiences and making the customer the priority. It was important to have a passion and drive for company success by also giving the best advice and knowledge that will aid their decision and creating a loyal relationship with the customers.
A course that fuses fashion design skills and digital skills as part of one course. This included subjects such as, technical packs, trend forecasting, design development, web building, print making, etc.
