Holding Up Half the SkyInspired by Mao Zedong's famous statement that "women hold up half the sky". This shoot focused on portraying women of colour as indeed strong and powerful yet feminine and soft. The Self-Love Journal tries to challenge the lack of representation in the media by centring women of colour in our shoots. The models are styled in blazers, bold jewellery and makeup that is inspired by 80s power dressing. Shot on film in a backdrop that is contrastingly soft and dream-like. Artistic direction: Sheree

BODY POSITIVITYA few short series of body positive illustrations highlighting self love and the importance of inclusion of different body images. Including a commission from Shereen Nassuna for her blog ‘The Self Love Journal’ and a collection of bold prints that have made their way to sticker and cushion designs.
