About me
Hello I'm Silvia, I'm a freelance illustrator based in Turin, Italy. I’m fashinated about watercolor technique ‘cause it let me the possibility to illustrate figures, clothes, textile and accessories with an almost gestural calligraphic painting, letting brush strokes and colors defining the shapes. My research proceeds in this direction. I love clouds, black cats, forests, and all the strange animals in this world (including people).

    Exhibition of ancient and rare books in Turin (XXXI/ XXXII Book Fair)Illustration and Poster commissioned by Association Italian Antiquarian Booksellers (ALAI) for the Exhibition of ancient and rare books in Turin (XXXI/ XXXII Book Fair). I was asked for an image able to give brightness and youth for a public outside the world of antiquarian booksellers, which did not necessarily recall the ancient nature of the books on display. The book become a great gateway to a world to be discovered.

    FOODI started painting in watercolor practicing with real life painting, isolating simple elements that would allow me to study colors, volumes, shadows and surfaces more precisely. I started with bottles, books, jars, but my favorite subjects were vegetables, fruits, food and plants right from the start. My fridge immediately turned into a perfect wunderkammer.     Logo created for a Film Festival in Turin, Italy. The letter G refers to the Mole Antonelliana, a major landmark building in Turin named after its architect, Alessandro Antonelli. Since 2000, the building has housed the National Museum of Cinema.
