I have recently graduated with a degree in BA Fashion Design Technology, a course which has provided opportunities to develop a well rounded skillset. During my time at university, I have recognized the growing importance of sustainability, and have integrated sustainable practices into my work. My design outcomes are often accompanied by a detailed consideration of textiles and surface techniques, including print and pattern, embroidery and more recently, 3D printing.

- Future Mythologies - Final CollectionFuture Mythologies - Exploring the evolution of life after crisis through fashion and innovation This collection explores a future scenario - years after the earth’s environment was devastated by nuclear interference and climate change, evolution of life begins to re-occur. Influenced by a change in atmospheric conditions and radiation, new life develops in mutated and adapted forms, which have been expressed through silhouettes and textile techniques in the collection. An innovative textile
- A Weekend at Tahoe - Prints and Pattern Collection for Old NavyIn this live brief set by Old Navy, I designed a small collection with accompanying prints for Girl's and Womenswear. The collection is called 'A weekend at Tahoe' and is inspired by the wildlife and leisure surrounding Lake Tahoe in California. Native flora and fauna, wildlife and scenery have been the primary influences when creating the print collection, a bright and upbeat aesthetic created for SS21. The prints have been designed in a posterised style, similar to the national park artworks
- Forces for Sustainable Change - Eco-DystopiaSustainable practice was the core focus of this brief, which I completed in my final year at university. My project explored the idea of an eco-dystopia, drawing inspiration from the work of dystopian surrealist illustrator Yves Tanguy. Abstract disruptive shapes which are an integral part of Tanguy's work were used to influence the irregular silhouette. Atelier/ Studio AssistantJulien Macdonald
- London, United KingdomInternship
The role of studio intern was very varied, ranging from designing for the JM x Debenhams collection to print and embroidery development for collections ahead of London Fashion week. This role gave me experience developing elaborate embroideries and understanding how they are designed and made, from planning the motif placement on the garment to repairing existing pieces by hand. This role enabled me to get a valuable insight into how a small luxury company operates, as this varied placement also presented opportunities to assist in other areas including PR, social media and pattern cutting.
