I have been involved with Bagboard in a freelance capacity since July’17, being offered a permanent position towards the end of 2017. Bagboard is
a pre-launch start up company, so my role involved coming in and creating the entire brand from scratch in preparation for launch. Being the only designer and brand expert in-house I led and managed the entire project independently, implemented design processes throughout the company and recruited, built and managed a design & brand team, currently consisting of 5 team members and additional freelancers. Third party companies were worked alongside collaboratively for web and app development, videography and animation, but with all design and creative direction being done in house. Building the brand included creating brand values, strategy, mission, vision, tone of voice, visual identity, brand guidelines, web design, app design, brand collateral, animation, marketing video, photographic assets, sales collateral and event collateral. Ensuring everything associated with the Bagboard brand was not simply aesthetically pleasing, but had a reasoning and conceptual meaning. Building a brand with substance that caught people’s attention and started conversations when being first released into the world. Since launching the Bagboard brand, we have received sales interest from the likes of Unilever, Burberry and Harrods and raised over £2million in investment to fund the official launch date in July this year.

At Identity Design I got the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including brand strategy, naming and visual identity, design for print, web, digital and 3D environments, marketing communications, film, video and animations. A key project whilst at Identity was being the lead designer on the project 150 Bishopsgate Plaza, a skyscraper development next to the Heron Tower in the City of London. The skyscraper includes a luxury 5* hotel managed by Pan Pacific hotel, high end residential apartments, and The City of London’s first purpose-built ballroom. This project included designing the brand identity and all associated collateral and marketing materials
for all 3 aspects of the development. I worked alongside a wide variety of stakeholders to see the project from initial brief to completion - including property developers, architects, interior designers, CGI artists, videographers, photographers, makeup artists, fashion stylists, animators, 3D environment installation, printers and suppliers.
