About me
Stephanie is a hybrid journalist and digital content strategist based in London. She is currently Head of Digital at Prospect magazine, where she combines a background in political and arts journalism with expertise in paid and organic search, SEO, digital marketing and brand strategy. Previously a digital assistant at the New Statesman, her writing has appeared in the Guardian, LA Review of Books, i, Asymptote and numerous other publications. Outside of her work in the media, Stephanie also teaches undergraduate and masters-level journalism courses at Birkbeck. Following her first degree, she took up an AHRC-funded Masters offer at Queen Mary, University of London, receiving her PhD in twentieth-century non-fiction and modernist genre play in 2016 from the University of Exeter. Her research has been published in the James Joyce Quarterly and Cambridge Quarterly—among others—and she has experience teaching a range of courses across literature and journalism. As a co-founder of The Second Source, she has advised on women and media for lawmakers in the Eurpean Parliament, and recently served as a judge for the Vuolio Online Influence Awards.
