About me

Suki Law is a multimedia designer based in London. She is a co-founder of Mirador Collective, a collaborative studio that explores interactive media and virtual worlds. Having accomplished a Commerce degree in Law and Business, she further her studies on Graphic Media Design and focuses her practice on the application of critical design methodologies in social context. Her commercial practice ranges between brand development, editorial, digital and XR design. Her work has been exhibited in Cyberia – New Media Playground in India and the Barbican in London.

  Books of TypeThe designs for four book covers titled Modern, Serif, Sans Serif and Slab Serif emphasise on the connections among letters. The persona of each typeface is amplified through expressing the tension among letterforms.

  Understanding the International Criminal CourtThe user interface design aims to to make the information in a booklet, ‘Understanding the International Criminal Court’, more accessible. The research is based on the needs of the audience and their situation as interview was conducted with an ICC court official. The challenge is how to create a human-centred interface whilst taking the needs and psychological states of the audience into account. A easy to access UX, colour system and symbols are carefully considered base on the needs of target
• MNM branding developmentBrand development for MNM, a Belgium radio station. Under the guidance of Why Not Associates, a range of materials that refreshes MNM’s brand is produced. The re-skinned website adds vibrancy to the brand and communicates more effectively to their target generation.
• Geometric typeInspired by the avant-garde which pushes the boundaries of status quo in the cultural realm, this typeface took a radicle form of pure geometry and further the design development into a contemporary way of letterform expression.
• CapitalProduced by Barbican Guildhall Creative Learning, CAPITAL is this year’s collaborative project between musicians from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and design students on the MA Graphic Media Design at the London College of Communication at the University of the Arts London and the MA Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art. The work produced is the result of a three-month collaboration between the students and tutors and takes the form of a performance installation,
• Camden Market – Thinking outside the boxPosters design for Camden Market that promote positive mental health through sport. The event, ‘Thinking Outside the Box’, features a local boxer. The posters aim to add excitement and amplify the bold and loud identity of Camden Market.
