Sydney's art practice exists across time-based media as well as collage, photography and mixed-media, drawing on themes from identity in culture and society, the psychological and neurological effects of upbringing, to the notion of freedom and being. Her own forgetfulness paves a way for conversations related to the process of growing up, learning and then forgetting, which ultimately leads to questioning the essence of human existence.
