About me
A current graduate graphic design student from London college of Communication.I gained a variety of design skills throughout the projects I have done during the past four years. Each new project brings an opportunity for me to discovering new fields of knowledge and interest; a chance trying a different way to approach the problem to find the solution. I am passionate in visual communication, conceptual design, installation, typography the most, however, I am willing to try everything and taking any opportunity comes to me. I have the advantage of having an international perspective that I have lived in Asia, America and I currently live in Europe. I believe my international background with my passion for design will bring good cause for your team.
Projects
- Do your Best BeforeDo your best before is a collaboration project for a food waste campaign in the UK. It's created by a group of GMD students (Yonjin Lee, Yunmi Cho, Sz-Yi Wu, Taeyoung Kang, Junki Min) from London College of Communication during the social campaign project in 2014. The aim of this campaign was to raise awareness and solve the domestic food waste issue. The campaign started by bringing the real fridge with 'rotten food' out on the streets to grab people's attention. We interviewed people and gave out leaflets which informed about the food waste issue in the UK. It also gave tips on how audiences can avoid throwing food away and consume them before expiry date.
- Grenier caféThe brief asked to create an environment /place which can prompt people's creativity. The solution I came up with is Grenier, an ideal cafe place combined with a gallery and a screen print workshop to promote people's creativity by bringing art and design community to the general public.
- Sirio UltraThis project is a response to Fedrigoni competition brief which asked to promote one of their darkest papers in the industry to artists and designers. The concept is taken from the mysterious black hole, the darkest place which even light can not escape. From one perspective, the swatch book is so dark that you can’t see what’s inside but only a black space. Another angle of the swatch book reveals the black hole which actually combines different layers and their thicknesses (showing the available paper gsm) and each page contains a secret written in a different language at the same time presenting the universe. It is a little black book of secrets.
