About me
I am a Fashion Design graduate. My time at university has allowed me to explore the depths of my creativity through negotiated and self-directed project proposals, as well as strengthen my organisation and time management skills through managing multiple projects at a time. I have also gained valuable industry experience through live briefs with Vivienne Westwood and Amanda Wakeley, where I was fortunate enough to be offered a placement. I am a highly motivated, versatile, positive and driven individual looking to build upon my skills and learn new ones where possible. My course saw me develop and use; design, illustration, CAD skills incl. Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, pattern making, sewing/manufacture, research, academic writing, fabric/trim sourcing, colour palette and range building.
Projects
  • MUTANT-NATION
MUTANT-NATIONMy final year project MUTANT-NATION is based on 5G implementation across the world forcing fashion to become for protection. Set in the near future, a modern post-apocalyptic landscape where the 5G is a part of day-to-day life yet damaging to human health. I have focussed on the Amaranthus and Cockscomb plants for inspiration to combat the problem, as they soak up radiation. I then designed a collection of ‘mutated’ everyday and outerwear garments with strong texture and silhouette focus.
  • CELOSIA
CELOSIACELOSIA is a commercial exploration of the mainline collection MUTANT-NATION with an extensive focus on flora that soak up radiation. Namely the Cockscomb plant that has lead to techniques such as pleating and gathering to replicate its structure representively as well as graphic prints to be developed for the final collection. It culminates in a youthful summer collection with a mix of vibrant and pastels colours, light layers and prints derived from representaions of the cockscomb plant.
