Tanya Houghton is a social documentary photographer based in London. Her work has been published and exhibited globally gaining her recognition by The British Journal of Photography and the D&AD. Having studied at Goldsmiths University and University of Arts she comes from a background of sociology and constructed photography and works on a range of projects. Mixing concpetual still life with landscape or portrait her work focuses on the themes surrounding food, home and memory.

- Songlines of the Here+NowSonglines; Ancient Aboriginal maps passed on through song, story or dance. When sung these songs describe landmarks lining the route of a journey. These songlines allow the traveller to navigate their way across vast distances of the Australian landscape. In doing so, these travellers keep the sacred land alive. - Equal Lens: meet 100 women photographersAn equal shot for women photographers After looking through the books of over 70 leading commercial photography agents, we found that women accounted for less than 25% of those represented. This isn’t because of a lack of talent, or a lack of desire from agents, creative agencies or clients. It’s a structural problem that must be addressed with big collective actions, such as an industry-wide commitment to always include women photographers on the lists that clients and agencies select from.120
