About me
Tasalla Tabasom, (born '00, in Iran/ lives and works in London,UK) studied at the University of the Arts, London. Tabasom’s interdisciplinary practice is focused on social movements, gender inequality and the formation of Iranian queer identity. She works across a variety of media, including painting, performance and sculpture. Tabasom’s work challenges the viewer’s perception of the human body and form by manipulating, distorting, and masking it, aiming to create a psychologically charged space for the viewer to inhabit. Tabasom examines race and gender identity through individual experiences, privileges and disadvantages.
