About me
Please see my website for a full portfolio - thaddaeusabrown.myportfolio.com A young creative, who started off with a passion for music, which later developed into a beat-making hobby, to serious interest. So serious, that he decided to invest in a bedroom studio to commit to getting better at the craft. This later led to a job opportunity as an admin/creative assistant for a serial entrepreneur and a ridiculously talent super producer / multi-instrumentalist, during this time the passion for music would blossom into an appreciation for creativity in all its various forms and a taste for this sparked the hunger to do more, learn more and repeat. After that had run its incredibly invaluable course, I took the chance to take up another creative skill being graphic design, after picking up some proficiency in videography, photography, digital marketing, social media content creation, management and scheduling. I would do this as a design apprentice for Hackney Council, the borough that I have been born and raised in. I have been able to thrive confidently in this role and feel at home as both a creative and as a long time resident. As well as gaining graphic design and artworking experience, I have been able to maintain and improve my understanding of Videography, photography, sound engineering and even adding Motion Graphics / Animation into the mix. Find out more about me on my portfolio, where you can see my experience in education as well as the world of work, and also a passion project or two...

London Councils Apprentice of the Year 2018London Councils
Thaddaeus joined Hackney in October 2017 as a Design apprentice in the Communications team and is studying a level three Junior Content Producer Qualification. Thaddaeus was instrumental in bringing Hackney Live, the Council’s online cultural platform, in-house. This resulted in a £10,000 saving per project for the Council. Producing live design work for the team’s clients, Thaddaeus has generated £6,000 for the council over the last 6 months. He created the slogan ‘I am Hackney’, integral to a campaign which has attracted over 350 applicants. As well as being a great champion for apprenticeships, he became involved in the council’s Young Black Men project and chaired a meeting about ‘stop and search’ involving senior officers, councillors and members of the community after the death of Rashan Charles with maturity and composure beyond his years.
