About me
I am a 23 year old photojournalist & documentary photographer based in the UK and a recent graduate  from UAL: London College of Communication with an MA in the same subject. My documentary practice is centred around telling the stories of those living on the periphery of society through ways in which such people so effectively and charismatically brush against the grain of society. My upcoming series of images focuses on the colourful lives of the bare-knuckle boxing community in the United Kingdom.
Projects
  • Autonomous Itinerants
Autonomous ItinerantsSquatters and Homeless Autonomy (S.H.A.) are a group of activist squatters living in the city of Westminster speaking out against our current political configuration and everything that is capitalism. Whilst engaging in this struggle the group occupy disused commercial buildings and convert them into unique and diverse living spaces in which they stage everything from political workshops to martial arts classes. But the space is a multifaceted one as it acts as a shelter and gives people, otherw
  • Behind Closed Doors
Behind Closed DoorsBehind Closed Doors is a project that was part of an assignment for LCC that wanted to explore the meaning of relationships and how they can be represented photographically. Instead of focusing my time on a topic that was obvious or even cliched I got in contact with one of London's underground sex dungeons. Conveying a strong sense of emotion as part of a relationship between two (or a mutlitude of) people is achievable with a camera given the right subject(s), relationship to said subject(s) and the amount of intimacy present. Over the course of one evening I catalogued relationships at their most personal and promiscuous where the emotion that is captured is more reminiscent of raw passion rather than doating affection
  • Dover Protest
Dover ProtestOn Saturday 30th of January 2016 Dover town witnessed its third far-right protest in just over a year with the “Return to Dover” march taking place throughout its streets. Everyone from EDL splinter groups to Mein Kampf indoctrinated neo-nazis, were set to parade through Dover in opposition to refugees arriving on our shoreline. But it was never going to be a Nazi walk in the park, as anti’s mobilised under the banners of the Anti Fascist Network and Kent Against Racism. The protest was expected to be the biggest and most tempestuous yet as the anti-fascists prepared to stop the far-right in their tracks, seemingly by whatever means necessary. The far-right, tanked up on a cocktail of Special Brew and contempt, met the anti-fascists head on, with every police officer in Kent trying to prevent the ensuing bloodshed. Amidst the flying fists, bricks and improvised weaponry I took a step back to photograph the riot that followed, and to ask people about our responsibilities as British citizens in confronting the modern day migrant crisis.
