About me
I am a highly creative, open-minded and tenacious University of Bristol Liberal Arts graduate with a background in written and live journalism, published creative writing and music. I have an ardent interest in the social impact of art forms, and I am looking to gain experience in the artistic and cultural industries. My interest in the people-art relationship has developed through the social awareness that comes with being raised in South Africa and the UK. This translated into socially driven published poetry; furthered by my dissertation, which focused on the impact of cinema on stigmatizing public attitudes; and through my work with a variety of online publications. Through working with emerging online companies NEON Magazine and PLUS PR I have developed an entrepreneurial passion for putting innovative ideas into action, working with social media and copywriting, and working in a team in order to deliver eye-catching, unique content on various platforms. Six years of bar work has given me valuable skills of multitasking, team-work, leadership and resilience. I plan to combine these qualities to pursue a career in the creative industry, working with likeminded people to progress business and think critically about the culture we live in.
