I am a back-end leaning Web Developer who enjoys translating organisational processes and user needs into code. I am also a strong communicator with a business background which is why it's my favourite thing to explore a problem with empathy in order to create the most efficient solution for it.
In 2017 I founded Cafe Robot, the first non-awkward Computer Club. Being a self-taught developer who decided to flip her career in her thirties, I wanted to create the fun, inclusive and supportive community for code newbies that I would have liked to have when I started off.
For the past 3 years I have been running multiple initiatives with Cafe Robot: I launched my own coding class for beginners in Amsterdam (JavaScript WTF!?), kicked off a new remote workshop called "Code Cuisine", taught more than 130 students about technology + web development at creative business school Hyper Island and shared my views on the industry, most recently at the Awwwards Conference and for Ladies, Wine & Design.
