Sotheby’s highlight for their Contemporary Evening Auction is a piece from Gerhard Richter’s signature Abstraktes Bild series. Known in this context as, Lot 109, it is a bold, dashing abstract picture exhibiting Richter’s emblematic squeegee work, and is estimated to sell between 16 and 24 million pounds.
