About me
My degree in Textiles has enabled me to recognise my potential to work within a social and applied artistic world. Specialising in print design while incorporating experimental processes, conceptual narratives are fundamental within my Practice. Fuelled by a passion for history while being captivated by the world around me, I use this information to explore how the future may unfold. I was honoured to have been selected to take part in two Art enrichment programs, The “ATTRACT Programme” (2014) with the Royal Academy of Arts and “The Album Photography Project” (2015) with Central St.Martins in collaboration with ABP Autograph (Shoreditch). Taking part in a vast range of workshops with other like-minded students along with receiving tutoring by practising artists had a remarkable impact on my approach to Art and Design.

MOOD OF THE NATION A/W 2020We live in uncertain times and in the current political climate our nation is overwhelmed with unanswered questions. My Final Major project entitled “Mood of the Nation” was created to capture the social and political turmoil that we are experiencing within this country at present and the relevance of "Britishness" in the modern world. Methods such as drawing, painting and experimental mark-making were created into artworks printed digitally or by screen printing. These pieces then informed my d

Sales Advisor and Design AssistantChristopher Farr Cloth
     - London, United KingdomInternship
Christopher Farr Cloth was founded in 2000 as a collaboration between Christopher Farr, Michal Silver and Matthew Bourne. For Christopher Farr and Matthew Bourne, who spearheaded the contemporary rug design movement of the past 30 years, designing fabrics was a natural progression. Trained as a fashion designer, Michal’s love for fabrics was born while creating the men’s and women’s collections for Mulberry in the mid to late 1990s where she used interior textiles to create her designs. Drawing on their art backgrounds, Cloth very quickly focused its collection around prints. Together, they discovered an artisanal print house on the outskirts of London that became a laboratory for Cloth experiments and played a central role in the development of the collection. Today the printed textiles continue to be produced in the UK, and the collection comprises prints and weaves and wallpapers. Cloth works with the best contemporary artists and designers – including Kit Kemp, Tord Boontje, Javier Mariscal, Kate Blee, Ilse Crawford, and Commune – to create stunning new work whilst also searching the archives of design pioneers of the last century such as Anni Albers, Raoul Dufy and Michael Szell to reintroduce their designs, in a contemporary way for a new audience. http://christopherfarrcloth.com/information/

    Joan Charnley AwardThe Weavers Factory
"For 50-years the Weavers Factory was home to the award-winning textile artist Joan Charnley. The Grade-II listed building was restored in 2018 and opened as a contemporary art gallery on April 6th 2019. Located in the centre of Uppermill, Saddleworth it was constructed in 1808 by John Mallalieu and originally used as a factory for domestic weavers before being abandoned when the Industrial Revolution made small-scale weaving untenable. In the first half of the 20th Century the property was used as a coffin-makers, an illegal gambling den and a temperance hotel, before being converted into a house in 1963 by our Patron Joan Charnley and her husband Archibald MacDonald. In 2018 it was fully restored and converted into a contemporary art gallery." https://www.weaversfactory.co.uk/our-story https://www.instagram.com/p/BykeA_LFRfs/
